The rules for using Ascension's site, account and online. Your data is covered by the privacy policy.

  1. 1.What Ascension is

    A free, non-profit fan project that recompiles God of War: Ascension to run on PC, with a site, accounts and a community online server. It is not affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment or Santa Monica Studio. God of War is a registered trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment.

  2. 2.Your game

    To play you need your own original copy of the game, taken from your disc. The project does not distribute the game, parts of it or keys, and it may not be used for piracy.

  3. 3.Your account

    • Accounts are for people 18 and over, the game's rating.
    • Use an e-mail of your own and true details; your password is your responsibility.
    • The in-game name may not offend, mislead or pose as someone else, as the project's team or as Sony.

  4. 4.Conduct

    • No cheating in the online, and no fake trophies, XP or reports.
    • No insults, harassment, discrimination or illegal content in names and pictures.
    • Do not attack, overload or try to break into the site or the server. Found a flaw? Tell the team instead of using it.

  5. 5.What you upload

    The pictures and reports you upload stay yours. By uploading them, you let the project keep them and show them on the site and in the game while they are on your account. Only upload what you have the right to use.

  6. 6.Moderation

    The team may hide content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Every action in the admin panel is logged.

  7. 7.The service as it is

    The game, the launcher, the site and the online are experimental and offered as they are, with no warranty. They may go down, lose data, change or end. As far as the law allows, the project is not liable for damage caused by using them.

  8. 8.The code

    The port's code is open, under its repository's licenses (MIT; a build with RPCS3's renderer is under the GPL-2.0). These rules cover the site, the accounts and the online.

  9. 9.Changes and governing law

    When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and important changes are announced on the site before they apply. The laws of Brazil apply.
